United Pride Friends offers many services to help our members feel supported, safe, and welcome. All our services are confidential, meaning you can trust that what you share stays private.
1. Befriending Service
We help members make new friends and feel supported. This service is available online and in person. If you want someone to talk to, we are here to help.
2. Online Webinars

📍 Where? On Zoom
Our online socials are a great way to meet new people from the comfort of your home. We start each session by introducing ourselves and welcoming new members. This helps break the ice and makes it easier for those who find socialising difficult.

3. In-Person Socials
📅 When? The first Saturday of every month
📍 Where? LGBT Foundation, Richmond Street, Manchester
⏰ Time: 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM
Our in-person socials are a friendly and welcoming space where LGBTQ+ autistic people can meet, chat, and make new friends. We also talk about challenges faced by our community and offer peer support to each other.

4. Outings & Events
We organise fun group activities chosen by our members.

We are planning to attend Pride events across the UK and take part in a Pride march.

You can stay connected with us on social media. Our Facebook group and other platforms help share news, updates, and allow you to interact with other members.

We offer support and advice for members who are struggling with:

8. Educational information
We provide easy-to-understand resources to help members learn and grow. Our education covers:

LGBTQ+ identity and autism – Helping members understand themselves and feel confident.

Building social skills – Tips on making friends, starting conversations, and feeling comfortable in groups.

Raising awareness about autism, learning disabilities, and sexuality – Educating the wider LGBTQ+ community and general services (e.g., NHS, Learning Disability England) so that autistic and LD individuals are properly recognized, understood, and supported.
9. Workshops
We run workshops to help members with:

✔ Talking to others and making friends
✔ Dealing with discrimination and bullying
These sessions give practical advice and support to help members feel more confident and included.
